Cherona and Wayne's Wedding

This was always going to be a fun day!

Cherona and Wayne wanted a relaxed wedding, on their gorgeous property where their family and friends could enjoy the stunning views they enjoy every day.

They worked incredibly hard in the months leading up to their wedding, creating a perfect venue - Walterlace Estate for a fabulous country style wedding.

They hope their wedding would be the first of many celebrated there. I’m sure it will be!

Like many country weddings, family and friends were very involved in the preparations and on the day. So many people helped out, in so many ways. Wayne’s sister made their delicious wedding cake, and the tables were laden with food and wine, set up by busy hands prior to the wedding ceremony.

Cherona’s sister in law’s brother, Macca’s Catering travelled from Wodonga to provide the food.  Cherona was well looked after by ‘her old hairdresser’ Laurinda, owner of Blown Hair who travelled from Airlie Beach to be with Cherona on her wedding day.

Photographer friends snapped away before during and after the ceremony. The number of friends who so willingly and happily supported Wayne and Cherona says a lot about them as a couple!

The ceremony space was chosen because of its outlook, using the tree as a natural feature enhanced by a windmill and hay bales and overlooking the dam. The cows were close by, but not so close that they disturbed us.

Cherona arrived with her wedding party in fabulous cars, a statement entrance reflecting both of their interests.

Wayne and Cherona wanted their ceremony to be short and simple, and given the chilly wind, everyone was keen to get up to the reception area as quickly as possible. Most importantly, Wayne and Cherona had their four children standing next to them; the people most important to them standing beside them on their wedding day as they started the next chapter of their lives together.

Following the ceremony, Wayne and Cherona made great use of the property, from the stunning views out to the farm machinery to create amazing photos. And then there was sunset …

The reception was a fun filled relaxed evening filled with great food and drink, music and lots of fun. They’ve created a perfect venue for a DIY country wedding!
